7th World Day for Safety and Health Celebrations in Kenya held in Kericho on Thursday, April 28, 2011.
The Directorate
The Directorate’s main mandate is to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2007 that seeks to promote safety and health at the workplace. It also ensures compliance with the provisions of the Act Work Injury Benefits Act, 2007 through prompt compensation of employers against work related injuries.
The Directorate’s headquarters are at Safety House, along Commercial Street in Nairobi with 17 zonal offices spread out in Nairobi, Kisumu (Nyanza), Kakamega (Western), Embu, Rift Valley and Mombasa and other offices are in Thika, Eldoret, Kisii and Naivasha.
